Club Maximen
The CoD sees itself as a think tank and knowledge promoter.
Mission:
Knowledge is a burden that requires responsible handling. Our guiding principle is therefore to create added value for society as a whole. In order to define this, objective moral values and specific actions are required. In doing so, we apply higher moral and ethical standards to ourselves than those which are socially consensual, since consensus is a compromise to disadvantage objective values.
~
We follow the Maxim that the well-being of many outweighs that of individuals or a few. Taking this philosophy into account, we use the knowledge we have gained for the benefit of all and set our knowledge free. A clear mind, which is also sharpened to perceive details and thereby, despite the grasp of larger contexts, morality and decency to every living being, no matter what kind, is the driving force of our actions.
~
What drives us and thus unites us is a basic philanthropic idea and the conviction that development and progress must not be subordinated to any commercial understanding. The CoD therefore does not pursue any commercial interests, so our projects are financed solely by the funds of its core members. This also in order to be able to guarantee independence.
Structure of the Club:
The Club distinguishes three types of membership:
1) Regular members
2) Members
3) Sponsors
To become a member, it is obligatory to pass the BQ test.
Patrons can become members if they want to support our ideals and become active in shaping the future.
Regular memberships and honorary memberships can only be awarded upon proposal of a regular member and unanimous decision.
